This USP endorsed Ground Disturbance Level 2 for Supervisors course is designed for supervisors and anyone who is involved in, or needs a strong understanding of ground disturbance procedures. It provides an in-depth understanding of ground disturbance legislation, safe work procedures, and the damage prevention process. The learning objectives of this course are to:

Understanding ground disturbance
  Understanding and implementing the damage prevention process
  The process:
o Pre-job planning
o Investigating buried facility information sources
o Notifications and approvals
o Locates and markers
o Exposing buried facilities
o Backfilling
  Emergency response
  Consequences of damaging buried facilities

To successfully complete the course, learners have 3 attempts to achieve 80% or higher on the exam. Upon completion the learner receives a Certificate of Achievement that is valid for 3 years from the date of completion.

This Ground Disturbance Level 2 course is aligned with the Ground Disturbance and Damage Prevention Guidelines and has been submitted, assessed and has received full endorsement by Utility Safety Partners (Formerly known as Alberta Common Ground Alliance – ABCGA) when assessed against their Standard – Ground Disturbance of Supervisors 201 (previously Ground Disturbance for Supervisors Level 2 or ADPC Level II).
