This WHMIS 2015 course includes the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling for chemicals (GHS).

All employers in Canada must review and comply with the WHMIS requirements of their occupational health and safety jurisdiction. Between May 31, 2017 – December 1, 2018 all employees have to be transitioned from WHMIS 1988 to the new WHMIS 2015 standard including GHS – consult your local jurisdiction to determine your WHMIS requirements and transition timing.

learning Objectives

This course is designed for all employees that work with hazardous products. Throughout the course, learners apply their knowledge through gamification, video, and interactivity. These eLearning techniques enable them to confidently identify hazardous products, seek additional hazardous product information, and appropriately handle and store hazardous products.

  • WHMIS 2015 Roles and responsibilities
  • Classify controlled products and associated hazards
  • Routes of entry
  • WHMIS Labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

Completion:

Refresher training is required when conditions change, new products are introduced or when new hazard information becomes available. Employers must review their programs annually and it is a good practice to conduct employee refresher training every 1-3 years.

Course Online:

To successfully complete the course, learners have 3 attempts to achieve 80% or higher on the exam. Upon completion the learner receives a Certificate of Achievement.
