Effective Immediately
(March 19th, 2020 through to December 31, 2020)
All maintenance, re-certification and certification audits will be limited to Documentation Only
and must be completed on the AuditSoft Application
Thank you for your patience in these uncertain times. We have been in discussions with Partnerships and measures have been taken to assist employers with maintaining and achieving their Certificate of Recognition.
To be clear, going forward from March 19, 2020 through to December 31, 2020 all maintenance, re-certification and certification audits will be conducted on the Documentation Only AuditSoft application available for purchase from www.AASP.ca then follow the links for Get Software and License. The cost of the license has been reduced to $125.00 plus GST and if there is a team of auditors the $50.00 plus GST will apply when each auditor purchases their access to the license. Please remember to go through the AuditSoft Application Overview eLearning course to ensure you use the application correctly.
The documentation only audit will be valid to maintain a COR with an overall audit score of 60%, there is no minimum score requirement for element scores (Current Standard). For a COR or Re-certification audits the overall audit score must be 80% or better, there will be no minimum score requirement for individual elements (New Standard for this audit). These COR or Re-certification audits will result in a 1 year COR certification.
The documentation audits may be conducted on-site with acceptable social distancing being practiced and no more than 50 people are in one place; this would be agreed upon by the auditor and the client. Or, the preferred method of the documentation review conducted via internet through allowing the auditor access to the company OHSMS on-line; or emailing the auditor copies of all required documentation.
The documentation only process for any external auditors conducting a SECOR audit will also apply. Any questions that are interview or observation verification will either be n/a or marked 100%. This too applies from March 19 through December 31, 2020.
